Martin Luther King

Luther King was born on January 15th, 1929 in Atlanta. It’s important to say that his ideology was based in Mohandas Gandhi. Here starts his interesting life.
When he was 15 years old entered to a college where he realized about his interest for help to people.

He was a leader of the American civil rights in United States and also a minister considered a hero for the world. His most important characteristic was struggle for avoid the racial repression. During 1955, he was the leader in a protest or boycott in Montgomery, Alabama. In which characteristic was non-violence considered a great methodology for the resistance. For that reason he was arrested. After that, he becomes an important black man.

In 1957 King was one of the founders of an organization, called Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Then, Martin was the pastor of a Baptist church.
After time he continued worry about the society and his ideal was “people should not use violence to fight injustice”. King on 1963 directed a campaign for the Civil Laws in Alabama to finish with the segregation and get a better education.

Martin Luther King was a great public speaker. His most famous speech has become known as the “I have a dream” speech.
Finally, Martin Luther King was killed by a prisoner who escaped and killed him in Memphis (Tennessee), 1968.
Every third Monday of every January national holiday to remember him.

Now, I’m going to describe his speech.

This speech was said in a march in Washington. It’s about the poor conditions that people have to live in a world full of discrimination. Also, Martin explains that there will be neither rest nor tranquillity in America until to the black people rights of citizenship are guaranteed. The only way to get these rights using non-violence.
